Three generations of growth

A family business, in its third generation of running the same plant.

1984, Foundation

Mr. Amrit Bhai Patel

Established VOPL as a vegetable oil processor for the surface coating industry. Built the Indore manufacturing base and the client relationships that anchor the business to this day.

1992 to Present, Expansion into resins

Mr. Raj Kumar Patel

Expanded the business from oils into resin systems, alkyd, phenolic, and polyester, for the printing ink industry. Under his leadership, VOPL became a preferred supplier to six of the world's largest ink manufacturers.

Present, Modernisation and scale

Mr. Jai Patel

Modernising operations for efficiency and scale. Introducing process automation, tighter quality systems, and digital infrastructure to serve growing demand without compromising batch consistency.

Why Viscus Oils

Capability gets you on the shortlist. Character keeps you on the approved vendor list.

Dedicated plants by category

Separate lines keep contamination risk down and batch consistency up across repeat orders.

In-house R&D and formulation support

Tailored products and cost-performance tradeoffs worked out in our own labs, without a third-party development partner.

Reliable supply at scale

Inventory planning, batch-level QC, and disciplined dispatch schedules for customers with recurring demand.

Relationships measured in decades

Many customer relationships have run that long, held there by consistent quality and dependable supply.

Central India location

Indore, with the logistical connectivity to reach customers across the country.

Import substitution

Indian-made alternatives to imported products, matched to the performance you need.

Manufacturing

Dedicated plants. Integrated facility.

Viscus Oils operates an integrated manufacturing facility at Mangalya, on the Indore-Dewas Highway. Each product category runs in its own dedicated production plant, so there is no cross-contamination between oils, alkyd resins, hard resins, and refining.

Incoming inspection, batch testing, COA generation.

Production and R&D Lab

Process development, new formulations, import-substitute development.

COA with every shipment

A Certificate of Analysis is provided as standard with every dispatch.

ATFD and ETP on site

An agitated thin-film dryer and an effluent treatment plant, so manufacturing stays environmentally compliant.

Sustainability

Our ester systems are built on vegetable oils rather than petroleum solvents, which is what lets ink and coating formulators bring VOC content down. It is the same feedstock the business started with in 1984, put to a newer purpose.

Lower VOC is a formulation requirement now, not a preference.
